Hello, I'm Jazmyn
I'm a property stylist in Melbourne.
I didn't start out here. I used to work in finance, and when Covid hit I realised it wasn't for me. We had also just bought our first house and I couldn't go to the shops, so I started making mood boards and buying furniture online. Turns out I loved it and I was pretty good at it. I decided it was the perfect time to go for it, so I studied my Diploma of Interior Design and eventually got my first styling job.
In between then and now, I had my little boy and I've worked inside a top tier styling company and a very niche small one, so I know how both ends of this industry work. 6 years in, I've watched over and over what it costs people when they don't invest in how their home looks. That's why I started Splash of Jay.
I'm not a company sending someone out. I'm the one doing it, from the first walkthrough to removal. I style every home like it's my own house, and I'll tell you what I actually think, not just what you want to hear.
HOW I WORK
Every piece earns its place
Every little piece of furniture and decor is chosen to suit the home. I'm not putting that rug or dining table in because it will do or it's the last one we have. If it doesn't suit or it's the wrong size, I find another option.
Honest advice, always
You get a fresh set of eyes on the property. If I notice something that could improve the presentation, I'll tell you. I'd rather have the honest conversation early than watch a property go to market at less than its best.

Whether it's a brand new development or a well loved 1 bed unit, the process is always the same and the attention to detail is always the same. It's not just another house to me.

I meet you and your vendor at the property, walk through it room by room and talk through exactly what will improve the presentation. You get written follow up notes so there's a clear plan in writing.

WORK WITH WHAT'S THERE
Partial Style
From $2,500
Similar to a full style but using some of the vendor's own furniture alongside mine. I work out what stays, what goes and what needs to come in, then style around it.
For a home that's still lived in and has good pieces worth keeping.
